April 20, 2000 Gary, Joey, Kelly & another KKI patient at the Baltimore Zoo. Gary & Kelly were in the Recreational Therapy Dept. They made sure the kids had some fun along with their vigorous therapy's.

2000Joey came back from his "recreational" time at the zoo, to be put in the stander.
He did NOT like this "therapy". He is not one to be tied down for long!! :) I thank God for that ... on most days!! |
 April 20, 2000 Joey looks like he is praying but he is sleeping. We were in the bus, going on a field trip with KKI to the Baltimore Zoo. Maybe Joey fell asleep when he was praying. With Joey ... anything is possible.. |

Gary, who works for Kennedy Krieger in the Recreational Therapy Dept., is giving Joey "a lift" off the bus at the Baltimore Zoo. We were on a field trip. Joey had a GREAT
time seeing all the animals.

 April 13,
2000Joey blowing Mommy kisses! We have now "moved" into Kennedy Krieger Institute in Baltimore. Joey will be received hours of intense therapy every day for three weeks. Besides learning how to sit, stand, crawl & walk .... Joey has to learn how to swallow again. He can't have thin liquids yet, they go straight into his lungs. His swallow reflex needs to be strengthened. He has already learned how to swallow thick foods. |

22, 2000Joey & I went on a field trip to Johns Hopkins University for an Easter egg hunt. The rain stopped long enough for the kids to get some eggs but it was really chilly. It was getting late & Joey was ready for his nap. |
